Founders & Survivors is an Australian Research Council Project based in the Tasmanian Convict Records. It is one of the world’s great historical studies of immigration, forced labour and settlement and follows our convict founders and their descendants to build a unique portrait of modern Australia in the making. Founders - Storylines builds on this by creating an online portal allowing users to interact with the stories and experiences held in this most remarkable set of records. The portal features digital stories and original songs from some of Australia’s best loved artists.
