Parrawa, Go away!

Interpretation

Between 1823 and 1834, colonists and Aborigines clashed violently in Eastern Tasmania in the most intense guerrilla war ever fought on the Australian frontier. Surprisingly, Tasmania’s Black War has never been explored on film. Parrawa. Go Away comprises six short films which put this era in perspective. This interpretation has become one of the ‘must sees’ at the redevelopment Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.
